Porsche drivers can benefit from improved braking balance and precise clutch and accelerator control through the installation of an aerospace-caliber pedal assembly developed by Penta Motorsports.
It maintains the original factory geometry, and is a virtual bolt-in installation in all early and G-series 911 Porsches (1963-89).
Important design considerations include use of an adjustable balance bar to establish optimum front/rear braking forces, relocating the clutch and brake master cylinders for extra security and ease of maintenance, plus use of precision ball bearing pivots instead of OEM brass bushings. FEA (Finite Element Analysis) has been employed in the design of the lightweight truss-style pedals and the components are CNC-machined from 6061 T-6 aluminum.
The Penta Precision Pedal Assembly also features “clockable” (32 spline) pedal shafts and adjustable pads to facilitate optimizing their position for the individual driver. This makes for precise heel/toe control that’s important in competition applications. The assembly employs the highly regarded Tilton 78 series clutch/brake cylinders, which are widely used in racing.
Gold pedal arms and Black pedal faces come standard.
